Terms of Service for Trident Lawn and Landscape
Effective Date: May 11, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between Trident Lawn and Landscape ("Trident," "we," "us," or "our") and the client ("Client," "you," or "your") regarding the performance of site work, land reclamation, and landscaping services.
1. Scope of Work
Trident will perform the services specifically outlined in the approved quote or service agreement. Any additional work requested outside of the original scope will require a separate estimate and approval.
2. Property Access and Preparation
-
Access: The Client authorizes Trident personnel and equipment to enter the property to perform the scheduled work.
-
Obstructions: The Client is responsible for clearing the workspace of any personal items, toys, or debris prior to our arrival.
-
Markings: Trident will coordinate with Miss Utility for public line marking where required; however, the Client is responsible for identifying and marking all private underground lines (e.g., irrigation, invisible fences, private lighting).
3. Scheduling and Delays
While we strive to maintain a consistent schedule, our work is highly dependent on weather conditions and equipment logistics. Trident reserves the right to reschedule services due to inclement weather, saturated ground conditions, or unforeseen technical issues to ensure the quality and safety of the project.
4. Payment Terms
-
Estimates: Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
-
Payments: Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice unless otherwise specified in writing.
-
Late Fees: We reserve the right to apply late fees to any invoice not paid within the timeframe specified on the bill.
5. Client Satisfaction and Warranties
-
Workmanship: We take pride in our technical contractor standards. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the workmanship, you must notify us within 48 hours of service completion.
-
Living Materials: While we ensure proper installation, Trident cannot guarantee the survival of plants, sod, or seed once installed, as health is dependent on the Client's subsequent care and environmental factors.
6. Liability and Safety
-
Site Safety: For the safety of everyone involved, please keep children and pets away from the work area while heavy machinery or equipment is in operation.
-
Damage: Trident is not responsible for damage to unmarked private underground utilities or for minor surface wear (such as tire tracks) that is typical for heavy-duty site work.
7. Communication
By providing your contact information, you agree to receive communications from us regarding your service, including scheduling updates, digital invoices, and personal check-ins related to your projects.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
